The Plan

28And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. 29For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren30and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified.(Ro. 8:28-30)

I don’t know about you, but this sounds like a definitive plan to me.

Foreknew: from before the foundations of the earth and the beginning of your life He has loving intimate knowledge of you. It’s personal. He planned you, He created you, He’s never going to let go of you.

Predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son: the definite, unwavering plan.

He called you, and having called you, He justified you, and having justified you, He also glorified you.

But wait a minute: “glorification” comes only upon our physical departure from this realm. But he mentions it as though it has been accomplished! He does that on purpose. He is telling us that which He has put into motion nothing can impede or stop. And that means our intimate relationship with Him above all!

Where are you at right now? I suspect the Lord knows that better than you do. And however you feel or think you’re doing, you are on course and on time with Him.

So, not to worry. Take all those contra and negative things to Him in prayer. And while you’re at it don’t forget the praise and thanksgivings.

I hope this puts you in the comfort of the Saviors grip today, as it does me.

“Remember the former things long past,
For I am God, and there is no other;
I am God, and there is no one like Me,

10Declaring the end from the beginning,
And from ancient times things that are not yet done,
Saying, ‘My purpose will be established,
And I will accomplish all My good pleasure’ Isaiah 46:9-10
