Vanishing Treasure

Ecclesia of Today but not of Yesterday. Neither is it in the Savior of yesterday – tomorrow – and today. There is an Ecclesia of Today. It believes it is moving forward. In thought, action, and momentum. Their moving forward – not being forward but circular – begs the question, petitio principii. Furthermore, the alteration of truth never changes truth. It merely repaints in a different color the circle of endless lies, repeated.

Lost treasure is

The church of today

Has failed itself

By changing truth

For dead men’s tales

Obliging titillating ears

Selling their souls

To the world of illusion

For a dram of acceptance

Into chimera’s realm,

where they never belonged

And will escape no never.

Let them remember

What was so freely given

Purity of love draped over and around

Sweetness of breath easily drawn

Friendship so true and never bound

The Savior’s close presence

Now nowhere to be found.

“It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit,  who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age  and who have fallen away, to be brought back to repentance. To their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace.” Hebrews 6:4-6

“We are not diplomats but prophets, and our message is not a compromise but an ultimatum of truth.”  A.W. Tozer

  1. Well G.W. my friend. Sometimes I think you and I need to spend a long stint in a boat on a remote lake, maybe get lost in the the wilderness and have some campfire time to discuss the state of things on this earth. Modern Ecclesial and where we fit. What we do. Knowing an intimacy with our savior. This is a long conversation.
