Deep Love

With so much of the world distracted, it’s an ideal time to remember the following!

Deep and abiding.

Love that stands the test of time and eternity.

Proven and perfect among all who know it,

Experiencing it to share.

Love too deep to hoard, but must be given away

That it may swell and return, as the sea tides go out and come in,

Or the rolling surf on the beach as it sings its song of His deep, deep love.

“How wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ.” Ephesians 3:17-18

Russian artists display classic Russian style as applied to ageless Western hymns. Cinematography, Russian music, American classical hymns. Beautiful and heart-felt love for and of the Savior.

O the deep, deep love of Jesus, vast, unmeasured, boundless, free!
Rolling as a mighty ocean in its fullness over me!
Underneath me, all around me, is the current of Thy love
Leading onward, leading homeward to Thy glorious rest above!

O the deep, deep love of Jesus, spread His praise from shore to shore!
How He loveth, ever loveth, changeth never, nevermore!
How He watches o’er His loved ones, died to call them all His own;
How for them He intercedeth, watcheth o’er them from the throne!

O the deep, deep love of Jesus, love of every love the best!
‘Tis an ocean full of blessing, ’tis a haven giving rest!
O the deep, deep love of Jesus, ’tis a heaven of heavens to me;
And it lifts me up to glory, for it lifts me up to Thee!

    1. Yes, I agree. I was amazed when I stumbled upon that particular video of one of my all-time favorite hymns.
      The scenery did remind me of how I had imagined Newfoundland might look by some of your descriptions in your blog.
      Thank you Sally. 😊

      1. Yes, G.W., that is a good word, amazed. That is how I felt too, when I watched this. and also exhilarated.
        I am happy that my descriptions of rural NL helped you to visualize this beautiful, rugged place. 🤗

  1. G.W., Thank you for sharing your words. May we see His abundant love flowing out us to our neighbors in these chaotic days. It has been too long since I’ve heard that hymn. What a stunning video to bring it back to the forefront of my mind.
