A Bad Day?

[edited/minor tweaking]

Much chatter begins

Where may it end?

God listens in.

When it all ends,

God then begins.

Job said,

Jesus bled.

He rose again.

He’s not dead!

Then the Lord spoke to Job out of the storm. He said:

2 “Who is this that obscures my plans

with words without knowledge?

3 Brace yourself like a man;

I will question you,

and you shall answer me.

4 “Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation?

Tell me, if you understand. Job 38:1-4

Have I had a bad day? Yea, many a bad day. Too many to say, along the way.

Did Job have a bad day? Yea, and he had plenty to say.

Jesus had many a bad day without a word of nay.

He suffers another bad day

Each day

I say,

I had another bad day.

My Savior lives and reigns today!

It was NOT a bad day as I say.

So I will not say

I had a bad day,

As they who know Him not say.

Because He Lives I Can Face Tomorrow – classic Christian hymn.

God sent His Son They called him Jesus,
He came to love, heal and forgive;
He lived and died to buy my pardon
An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives;

Because He lives I can face tomorrow,
Because He lives all fear is gone,
Because I know, I know who holds the future,
And life is worth the living, just because He lives.

How sweet to hold a newborn baby,
And feel the pride and joy He gives,
But greater still the calm assurance,
This child can face uncertain days Because He lives.

Because He lives I can face tomorrow,
Because He lives all fear is gone,
Because I know, I know who holds the future,
And life is worth the living, just because He lives.

And then one day I’ll cross that river,
I’ll fight life’s final war with pain,
And then as death gives way to vict’ry
I’ll see the lights of Glory And I’ll know He reigns!

Because He lives I can face tomorrow,
Because He lives all fear is gone,
Because I know, I know who holds the future,
And life is worth the living, just because He lives.

  1. A bad day? “Because he lives I can face tomorrow. Because he lives all fear is gone
    Because I know, I know he holds the future. And life is worth the living just because he lives.”. Amen. Thank you for this GW!
