Bread – in a posy

Man proposes, God disposes:

Bread – probably the most basic food of the world. Taken for granted until I can’t find even one variety stocked in any store I glean in a small town. In that brief, momentary panic I would have given all my gold for one loaf of any kind. Needful things? How shall we measure them?

Back of the bread is the snowy flour,

And back of the flour, the mill,

And back of the mill is the field of wheat,

The rain, and the Father’s will,

As the eater finds ’tis sweeter to devour.

“When you eat and are satisfied, you are to bless the LORD your God for the good land that He has given you.” Deuteronomy 8:10
