A Hymn Heritage

May you be pleased to take a moment from your day to hear a short biography of this author of many songs. Then listen and hear this, one of his more beloved pieces. May you be blessed and refreshed by this humble offering on this Lord’s Day.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-39

  1. Good morning, G. W., thank you for sharing this piece of church history.

I love the stories of our pioneer pastors who were able to separate themselves from the typical church as it was, even as it is now.

We need men like him, as well as like John Wesley who saw the needs of the those outside of the church to know about Christ.

Once again, the church needs a breakout, standout kind of parson and shepard of the sheep.

    Blessings brother.

    1. Good morning, Pedro. I agree with you. Church history is so important, especially to the age we are in now. We must trust Jesus to lead us out of this present darkness.

      God Bless, brother!
