Creed

If your doctrinal creed and Scripture do not agree,

then cut your creed to pieces and

make it agree with this Book.

The Word of God is the infallible chart of faith.

Follow it closely, for this Book cannot lead you astray.

“As I urged you when I went into Macedonia,

stay there in Ephesus so that you may command certain

people not to teach false doctrines any longer

or to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies.

Such things promote controversial speculations rather than

advancing God’s work—which is by faith.” 1 Timothy 1:3-4

The Apostle Paul spoke the truth

for he spoke of things he knew first-hand.

Those things he passed on to you and me. ~G.W.

  1. It’s hard to delete the natural thinking out of our lives to which we default to so easily. Seems a daily reload of God’s Word and asking His wisdom is the only way to walk by faith on more than shaky legs. Love the cabin picture G.W. I have stayed in one just like it…porch, fireplace, snow and all.

    1. Nothing wrong with natural thinking as long as we put God’s Word above it and not vice-versa.
Glad you like that cabin, Gary. I found that painting in a museum in Calumet and took a full-frame photo of it. Had to cut and fit to get it up on my site.

        1. Not all themes come with full background capability. I had to search through many. My site theme is titled “Afterlight Theme.” It’s probably considered an old one by now.

    1. Amen. That is true. The bible is our creed and doctrine. If we just follow it. “The Bible is our only rule and standard for faith and practice” is a worthy saying to abide by. Thank you, Tim.
