What is the point of poetry?
Sans the artful fluff
It is the astute writer’s way
to get his point across
In fewest words possible
Within a world growing as
Attention span is shrinking.
With that in mind,
Christ is forever King
Bow before Him now.
Life’s highest in calling
Eternal, His don’t disavow.
When you greet Him
He says I always knew
My reluctant poet Fin
Would finally send Me you.
(He calls me Fin,
For within Him I’m without sin).

1 John 5:11-12 tells us: “And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.”
Reflective thought on blogging: Do you think perhaps after a twenty-year run, the personal blogging train, so many boarded back at the station, has finally run out of track? I have witnessed many interesting blog authors disappear, many of them in this past year.
Well G. W. First of all , really good poem. So true.
2nd, for the record, I was dragged onto that blogging train (That’s my story and sticking to it as they say) and have been looking for a place to jump off after every post.

I suspect it’s the natural order of change. As more new social platforms come into being the older ones become less used.

Every time I write out a post I’m thinking: I could be taking someone (or at least myself) fishing…that’s my rub.

Sorry, Gar. I this minute found it in my spam filter!
I really do understand your position about blogging, and I agree. If I had the same choices I, without doubt, would choose your preference.

Many loose their touch. Many start writing due to some emotional toil and want to feel lighter. And those who stick are the ones who write because they simply want to write and write with passion.
Lovely poem
